Kuala Lumpur Stay:
Usually, we stick to one hotel during our travels, avoiding unnecessary changes. However, our Kuala Lumpur trip was different. We had to spend an extra night in KL before going home, leading us to two hotels. First was the Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre, offering modern amenities and a central location. The second was the Holiday Inn Express Kuala Lumpur City Centre, providing a different yet satisfying experience. This unplanned switch in hotels added a unique element to our journey, letting us enjoy diverse accommodations in this dynamic city.
KLCC Park:
We start our journey at the calm KLCC Park, a green oasis in Kuala Lumpur. Walking through the peaceful surroundings, we enjoy nature’s beauty with lush landscapes and serene lakes. It’s a relaxing beginning before we venture into more exciting adventures.
Exploring Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers:
The famous Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur are a marvel of modern architecture. As we get closer, the shiny glass and steel of the towers reflect the city’s lively atmosphere. Inside, a guided tour unveils the towers’ history and impressive construction.
Climbing the KLCC Skybridge, hanging between the towers, gives us stunning views of the city. Especially at night, when the towers light up, they add a magical touch to Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

KL Tower:
Our adventure reaches new heights at KL Tower. As we ascend to the observation deck, located about 335 meters above ground, the panoramic views unfold before us. The tower’s impressive height offers a unique perspective of Kuala Lumpur, allowing us to marvel at the city’s architectural wonders, lush greenery, and the bustling streets below. The experience is truly remarkable, providing a bird’s-eye view that captures the essence of this vibrant metropolis.
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur:
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a shopping haven where luxury meets style. With a dazzling array of international brands and upscale boutiques, it’s a paradise for fashion enthusiasts. As the sun sets, the area transforms into a vibrant spectacle, illuminated by dazzling lights. The bustling nightlife offers a variety of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options, making it the perfect place to unwind and soak in the city’s dynamic energy.
Sunway City – Sunway Lagoon:
Located in the heart of Sunway City, the Sunway Lagoon Shopping Mall is a fantastic place to shop. It has a mix of trendy fashion stores and interesting specialty shops, catering to all kinds of shoppers. You can find both international brands and local favorites. While exploring, don’t miss the unique Mummy Structure—a cool piece of architecture. Besides shopping, the mall offers plenty of places to eat, ensuring you have a great dining experience.

Our Day Trip to Putrajaya:
Taking a break from the lively streets of Kuala Lumpur, we set out on an intriguing day trip to Putrajaya, a contemporary city known for its impressive architecture and peaceful surroundings. Our journey kicked off at the striking Putra Mosque, a magnificent Islamic masterpiece with a distinctive pink dome that stands out against the clear sky. The mosque’s intricate details, from its stunning minaret to the intricately designed prayer hall, left us in awe of its architectural splendor. We were mindful of the tourist restrictions in place, ensuring a respectful and informative visit. Exploring the serene surroundings, we took a moment for quiet reflection in the mosque’s peaceful courtyard. On our way back we strolled through Putrajaya Botanical Gardens, the lush greenery and vibrant blooms provided a refreshing escape. The intricate Putrajaya Bridge offered panoramic views of the cityscape, making it a perfect spot for capturing memories. Our day in Putrajaya seamlessly combined cultural experiences with the calmness of thoughtfully planned urban spaces, offering a delightful addition to our Kuala Lumpur adventure.
Exploring the Delights of Malaysian Cuisine:
Our journey in Malaysia was a feast of delicious flavors. We tasted traditional delights like the fragrant Nasi Lemak, an iconic Malaysian dish that captivates with its aromatic coconut rice, anchovies, peanuts, boiled eggs, and sambal as well as ever-popular Roti Canai, a flaky and crispy flatbread served with a variety of delicious curries. Exploring street food in lively areas like Bukit Bintang and Jalan Alo added an extra layer of mouthwatering pleasure. From Nasi Lemak to Roti Canai, our Malaysian culinary adventure left a memorable part of our travel story.
We’re saying goodbye to Kuala Lumpur, a city that beautifully blends modernity and tradition.
